Cool personal mission...

Ran into this pica, and a lot of brothers and sisters of thisone, on the net... Veeerrry cool...!!!
Somewhere in Belgium in a forrest about 200 classic cars are left to nature (the story says by WWII GI's)... I think the cars are to young to be left by the GI's, but that's just my opion... My personal mission is to find this location and go there this summer and end up with blisters in my right index finger... Love thse kind of pica's... Can't wait till summer...

Today it's been 6 years ago that my daughter was born... Sgonna be a hectic day but who cares...? So it gives me another 12 years (and 15 for her little brother) to save up for a nice present on two wheels... Can't wait to ride along with her... Happy birtday Nadine...!

Cool Sunday special...

This weeks winner for the Sunday Special, parked outside a church... Yeah, right... We can use some of that beautiful sunshine and warm weather... Had enough of the snoowy roads, public transport and the freezing cold... Tomorrow I can ride my Young Geisha again... That will reduce commuting time by half...

Cool new toy...

Look what the cat brought in...!!! Someone has a new toy...
It's a Canon EOS 450D with a 18 - 200 lens... Bet I can make some pretty cool picas with thisone... So RFMF (read the fuckin' manual first) and start finding out how it actually works... My first impression... suhweeeeet!!!, very cool!!

Cool inspiration...

Through the net I came in contact again with a friend of a friend... First I found out a pretty cool story... (story 45 on http://www.vintagemotrocyclesonline.com/)




This guy, Ben Part (British Photographer http://www.partb.co.uk/ /publisher > Sideburn magazine http://www.sideburnmagazine.com/ ) build his own (own molding for the tank and bodywork) Guzzi caferace and kept wrenching on it for about 14 years whilst riding (and racing) all over Europe with it (with Frensh plate ha ha ha)... He also used it in his work, for a Davida shoot... (See pica below)


From this bike a copy was build (by my friend Sean Bryant), for the actor Ewan McGregor, called OB1 (pica below). Named after the role Ewan played in Starwars Obi-Wan Kenobi... I know they also attached a tiny detail somewhere on the bike linking to the Trainspotting movie...

At the moment Sean is busy (amongst other things) finishing an OB2 version of the bike with a very special racy engine and Warbird headlight cone on it...

Here comes the coolest part of the story: seems like the Guzzi factory got their hands on some picas of Ben's bike and were very inspired by it... The build a factory custom from it...

Is that a cool story or what?? Check Ben's magazine, blog and website for this guys cool work...!!

Cool, un-cool commuting time...

Yesterday afternoon The Netherlands was embushed by a snow front... It started snowing in Amsterdam around 15:30, I left work at 16:45... Trains were nolonger riding between Amsterdam and my old hometown... The misses was gonna pick me up at the station I stranded on, 17:30... We arrived at my inlaws to pick up the kids around... 21:15...
So it took me 4.5 hours to get there... Door to door > 25 km's... Do the math...

Took this pica around midnight last night around the corner of my house... we ended up with about 8 - 10 inches of snow...
