Cool statue...

Another piece of art we ran into Sunday on another annual sickle expo overhere in the Netherlands... The call it the start of the season but I wonder when the season ends then? This custom build sickle is welded-up sheet metal, the rider is made of recycled glass, kept together by metal wire... Nice one!

Cool bike show...

Yesterday had a nice day at the annual Bigtwin Bike Show... Nice bikes, airbrush and tattoo activities, Bike build competition, load music, load exhausts, several colors walking around...
Saturday the tax-department held a tax check at the entrance of the parking lot and collected 88.000 euro's in overdue tax money... Lucky for me I laft my tax money at home so I could not pay, but hey there was no check on Sunday anyways...

Last ride of the season...?

Yesterday, the wife and the kids went to do their own thing... I got on The Old Gall and rode around our province/state for a couple of hours... Enjoying the good weather and the wind in my face...
This might have been the last ride of the season (on this sickle - commuting is done on the new Young Geisha, the black Honda Varadero)... I got as North as possible (me thinks) in the state without taking the boat to the Northen island...

(barelly being legal, one meter futher and I would be in trouble... not...)

Rogues MC Choppershow 2013, part two...

Here some interesting bikes for you guys... My fav is the red one with the flames and the Indian engine and the blue bobber style with the wide ass...

Rogues MC Choppershow 2013...

Last Sunday, Easter, it was freakin' cold outside, and we had some bloody snow aswell... But got on my Japanse Geisha and rode half an hour North...

Our annual non-offical sickle-season opener; the Rogues MC choppershow in Hoogwoud, the Netherlands. This year 'bobbers' was the theme... In my humble opinion, there were to little bobbers and to much colours...
And ofcourse that couldn't go without a fight. In the first song the rockabilly band played, right under my nose
[one meter in front of me -  trying to shoot a sickle for you guys], some Belgian angels tried to punch out the lights of a local colour...
Sofar for the relaxed atmosfere... Took my pictures and left. In the air was flying that this wouldn't be the only punches that were gonna fly...

Cool ice skating...

This weeks' Sunday Special...

Yesterday we went for a quick and short skating adventure... Not much locations where we could bind the blades under but we found one... It didn't take long for the ice to go bad with all these people wanting to ride the blades... To much pressure on the ice and the water came running up from underneath along the sides... Oops, got to get out of here...!

On our local Harley meeting, this year I was more like a reporter then a biker... Went there with "The Love Seat", that's my wifes Kia Picanto, and took the big digital cam...

Last Sunday, took the big camera and ran to the annual local Harley day... Organised by the local HAMC and every year a good visited event... Ran into some (old) friends again... Will post more pica's later of this 'Sunday Special'

Yesterday we had a cool day at the beach... Prob. the last real summer day this year if I have to believe the weather forecast... Got a sun burned back, what about UV protection...!

The kids had a beach excursion last Sunday, learning about the animals - shells - plants in the dunes... We did a little stroll on the sand and  found the trash-dumpsters didn't float out to sea... Let's keep the beaches and seas clean...

Lateste trend seems to be a 23" front wheel in a bagger with the front fork under an angle... Notice the flat type front tire... Apparently the build seemd to be a nightmare, said my source...

Cool Rogues MC Choppershow 2012...

Pick-up my friend Pat around 11 to go the annual Rogues MC Choppershow (this weeks Sunday Special winner) in Hoogwoud, here in the Netherlands... The weather was great, a bit fresh with only 7 degrees Celsius... We saw some interresting sickles at the show... The Garage Maniacs got 18 bikes together for the booth... Some bikes at the show looked simple but if you looked closer...it was all in the details...

Cool hidden treasure...

Yesterday, my 5 year old son and I went for a little bicycle ride... We passed our local hidden treasure and we just had to stop and take another pica of her... Perfect one for a Sunday Special...

Cool Dutch...

Yesterday, was the last day we could safely skate the ice on the channels in my old home town... So we did, it was 15 years ago we could that, we packed up the kids and rode the shoes with iron knifes under them...

Cool cold freezing weather...

Woke up Saturday after it had been snowing Friday... Locally we had bloody minus 12 degrees Celsius during the night... So frozen trees and beautifull counrty sights... The only thing I could do was getting my hands dirty again and catch some moments...
The bottom one I took Sunday on our way back home after some nice iceskating hours...
