Cool protection...

When I was young, my father ("...before he left this shitty world...") carried a silver coin in his wallet, in his back pocket of his pants... Through the years the coin became so thin that it fell apart in little pieces...
In theses days I asked him what the coin was for and he told me that it was St Christopher, the protector of travellers... My father did quite some globe trotting, by all means (trucks, cars, boats, motorsickels...), in his life so I guess the coin did him good...
About 20 years ago when I had my first vacation with my girlfriend (now wife), in a French gasstation I ran into a St Christopher keyhanger... I did not hesitate at all, I immediately bought it and still carry it around eversince,
wherever I go...

Cool see-through...

All torn down, all torn down, all torn down...
The factory/refinery where my dad used to work for 25 years, directly behind my mom's house, is been torn down... My brothers and sisters and me letterly grew up on these grounds... The company left my hometown and plans were made for new apartments and family houses...
So a hundred year old company and it's historical buildings are beeing demolished...
I've been collecting pica's for the next generations, how it looked in the early days, yesterday and during the demolition... Here is one I managed to make through the fence after I pushed open the door with my fingertips...

Sunday, before the soccer finals my family and I had a nice barbie... The nextdoor neighbours did the same... the only difference: we bloody smoked them out..!!! Ha ha ha
I thought I stopped smoking 3 years ago...!?!

Cool sidewalks...

I just love the broad sidewalks in Amsterdam... Parking fee for a car is about 15 bloody Euro's a day... Parking the Young Geisha on teh sidewalks saves me 75 Euro's a week, going to work... Combined with the low petrol consumption, me says this is a perfect way to get to work and back...

Cool orange madness...

Last night in the semi finals of the 2010 Soccer World Championships... Our men in orange kicked Uruguay our, to the showers and home... Coming Sunday the final is being played, it's gonna be Spain or Germany, our opponents...
Last time Holland played in the finals was 32 years ago... this is the third time we are in the finals, ever... Sunday night we will become World Champion for the first time...!!
Thank God I'm riding an orange bike to work...

The last few days it's been quite warm, 25+ degrees... Today it's gonna top that with an even higher temp, around 32 degrees or so...
A good tip from my Sis in The land of Ozz: Don't do today what you can do tomorrow!!

Whatever you do, don't get overheated... Plans for this afternoon... Watch soccer match The Netherlands - Brazil at 4 and drink a cold beer (or two)...

So you think you are good looking in your dark blue suit, legg protectors, helmet and kane...
So you think you are a big man beating the hell out of a 7 year old boy... he only wants some better WORKING conditions and enough wage to buy some more food... whilst he is making all kind of stuff for the big brands like: Nike, Bauer, Reebok, Hilfiger and so on... for 12 hours a day...

Cool Guzzy...

Here's Ben Part's cool Guzzy again... Some minor changes, lost the front fender and changed the suede of the seat to leather... I think that comes more in handy with the Britsh weather...

Edit: This Guzzy is inspired on Ben's Guzzi, so this is not Ben's bike... repeat this is GI's bike and not BP's bike... All the dudes at sideburn seem to ride Guzzi's...
