My repect goes to Charley Boorman and Ewan McGregor for making the TV show called "Long Way Round". On BBC there was a re-run of the 2004 show but it was the first time I saw it. Later this year National Geographic showed a re-run of the follow-up show called "Long Way Down".In Long Way Round Ewan and Charley are riding on their BMWs 1200 GS Adventure from London to New York heading East trough Europe, Russia, Siberia, Canada and the USA. During this trip they film their adventures with helmet cameras and being film by a third guy on a motorcycle. Check out their website http://www.longwayround.com/
In Long Way Down they're using the same senario but are riding from the top of Scotland to the bottom of South Africa... I was more impressed by the first series, thisone gave me more a 'holiday in Africa' feeling.
Eatherway, respect and thanks to these guys (weather they had SAS escort or not...) for making Long Way Round.
The pirate is my addition to the logo; always be a pirate... (go your own way, be cocky and do the things you wanna do!).

I borrowed a lot of images (guitars, amplifiers, all the Fender stuff) from several websites, made a fake website for his 'tube amplifiers company' *his family name translated is 'tube'*, created this page of how I see and know Mark. I even putted in a picture of him painting in my house.
On the left side I made up a story; that he didn't work where everyone thinks he works, that he has his own company in tube-amplifiers, that he has a scale model of graceland in his basement where he would go every night to light a candle for The King... A load of bullshit ofcourse.
On the other side of the spreadpage I made a scrapbookish style idea of a moodboard, I even made a pin-up sticker on his lefthand (!!) guitar. Pin-ups, hotrods, fifties bike, fake website, the band playing at a party, a great guitarplayer Bryan Setzer, beautiful Gretsch guitar even a beer bottle opener on the right bottom of the page. I love creating things like this for friends...
Earlier this year I shared friends of mine the news about this car in my local newspaper. I think it was March and made a scan of the picture in the paper. The last line of the story was that the car would be in an auction the following weeks. Now months later I was curios what became of the (last of only 3 build of these/onlyone found...) story and Googled for the 1934 Ford Model 40 Special Speedster. I found out that it was auctioned for... $1,760,000...
