Cool scooter...

I spotted this nice little ride ealier this summer in France. I really like the retro look and the colour on this scooter. Also the goggles on the helmet are a real cool detail.

Cool chopper for sale...

So my son out grown his cool mat black with flames Electra cruiser chopper bicycle... He now wanted an ATB so this little black beauty has to go, make room in the shead...
Sometimes you have to let go to grow...

(had fun customising the thing and enjoyed all the positive comments -and he jealous looks of the youngsters- on the road)

Cool group of heroes...!

Here is a very cool pica of a cool dude, a hero to me... Close to liberating the Netherlands this pica is taken in the South of the country... Young men risking their lifes to come over and fight for our freedom, from all over the world young men (and women) left their homes and came to side of the world to liberate us from nazi Germany...
Every year we remember the ones who didn't live to tell... Foreign soldiers but also the countries heroes from the resistance... The next day, May 5th, we celebrate our freedom...
A big thank you to all of them fighting for our freedom...

Cool statue...

Another piece of art we ran into Sunday on another annual sickle expo overhere in the Netherlands... The call it the start of the season but I wonder when the season ends then? This custom build sickle is welded-up sheet metal, the rider is made of recycled glass, kept together by metal wire... Nice one!

Cool bike show...

Yesterday had a nice day at the annual Bigtwin Bike Show... Nice bikes, airbrush and tattoo activities, Bike build competition, load music, load exhausts, several colors walking around...
Saturday the tax-department held a tax check at the entrance of the parking lot and collected 88.000 euro's in overdue tax money... Lucky for me I laft my tax money at home so I could not pay, but hey there was no check on Sunday anyways...

Last ride of the season...?

Yesterday, the wife and the kids went to do their own thing... I got on The Old Gall and rode around our province/state for a couple of hours... Enjoying the good weather and the wind in my face...
This might have been the last ride of the season (on this sickle - commuting is done on the new Young Geisha, the black Honda Varadero)... I got as North as possible (me thinks) in the state without taking the boat to the Northen island...

(barelly being legal, one meter futher and I would be in trouble... not...)

Shed build...

Ran into the shed build/customised Honda 750 Four... rebuild as a cafe-racer and nicely done as well... I like the gas cap very much as we like to say...

When your living on a boat in Amsterdam, you don't have a lot of options for storing your sickle...
I can imagine that these old German beauties are gone rust pretty hard pretty soon if you keep the outdoors like this... But hey, if you don't have a shead or garage you're baggered...

Bought myself a new commuting horse...
Trading in my 2005 Transalp for a 2006 Varadero... Filled with loads of extra's and low milage... Nice colour also, dark black...

Making my way trough the Net, I ran into this cool pica. A very nice pair of sickles... Look at that design of these rusty beauties... Very nice airstreamers,... is that a word? Now it is... hahaha... I like to call thisone 'Rusty Twins'

On an old fairground, in a small carrousel, there were some cool old small vehicles... Here's one of the cool scooters, love the coloursetting... Mind the detail in the flames on the side of the sidecar...

Yes...! Been on vacation to France with the family again this year... Every stop at a petrol station is a hunt for cool sickle and car magazines... Here's a little harvest for this year...
The Freeway Special 'Choppers & Bobbers' makes me think about the time I got infected with the sickle virus... Must been around 1980/82, at that time Easyrides magazine looked like that as well...

Cool castle, part 1...

A week a go we went to Denmark and visited a castle. They had a big collection of firetrucks, cars, mopets, planes, helicopters and motorcycles as well...
Here is one for ya, they found in a shead and brought it back to life in a vew hours after 54 years...!!!

Rogues MC Choppershow 2013, part two...

Rogues MC Choppershow 2013...

Last Sunday, Easter, it was freakin' cold outside, and we had some bloody snow aswell... But got on my Japanse Geisha and rode half an hour North...

Our annual non-offical sickle-season opener; the Rogues MC choppershow in Hoogwoud, the Netherlands. This year 'bobbers' was the theme... In my humble opinion, there were to little bobbers and to much colours...
And ofcourse that couldn't go without a fight. In the first song the rockabilly band played, right under my nose
[one meter in front of me -  trying to shoot a sickle for you guys], some Belgian angels tried to punch out the lights of a local colour...
Sofar for the relaxed atmosfere... Took my pictures and left. In the air was flying that this wouldn't be the only punches that were gonna fly...
