Cool prison...
A couple of months ago I got the opportunity to walk around, with my camera and 11 other photographers, in the beautiful empty prison in my home town. Even the famous Dutch resistance hero Hannie Schaft has been kept locked in here by hte Germans in WW2. I have been biking past this building since I was born. For years now there are no prisoners kept in there anymore and it's been used to house refugees and now it's totally empty.
They are planning to create an university in there, after adjusting the inside of the building. The accoustic in the center of the main hall is really crazy, it would drive many man crazy being kept prison there. Even the guards needed rest after their shift. One guard would sit in his car for half an hour enjoying the silence, before driving home to his family. I just love this building.

Cool recycling...

In France, on our way home, we stayed the night in a hotel after riding 500 kilometers that day. The lobby of that hotel was filled with 'recycle-art'. Oil drums transferred into seats, bicycle double folded and sprayed silver as a side table. Here you see the re-use of traffic signs, build into a table on wheels.

Cool building...

Last night I visited one of my company's  client's office warming in this building. I visited this building (formal sugar cane storages, converted into offices) before to take pictures of it and again now I could not resist to catch them on my internal sd-card of my smartphone...

Cool company...

It's been over a year now since I started my own company. Loads of things happend and I learned a lot as well. Got myself interesting customers and creating beautyful stuff. Not only PowerPoint presentations but also graphic design, house style design, Blufftitler animations, some photography and just having a good time at being my own boss... hahaha.

Cool chopper for sale...

So my son out grown his cool mat black with flames Electra cruiser chopper bicycle... He now wanted an ATB so this little black beauty has to go, make room in the shead...
Sometimes you have to let go to grow...

Cool statue...

Another piece of art we ran into Sunday on another annual sickle expo overhere in the Netherlands... The call it the start of the season but I wonder when the season ends then? This custom build sickle is welded-up sheet metal, the rider is made of recycled glass, kept together by metal wire... Nice one!

Cool old scooters...

On an old fairground, in a small carrousel, there were some cool old small vehicles... Here's one of the cool scooters, love the coloursetting... Mind the detail in the flames on the side of the sidecar...

(Yes, kids can be as cool as there daddies for a vew minutes...)

Yes...! Been on vacation to France with the family again this year... Every stop at a petrol station is a hunt for cool sickle and car magazines... Here's a little harvest for this year...
The Freeway Special 'Choppers & Bobbers' makes me think about the time I got infected with the sickle virus... Must been around 1980/82, at that time Easyrides magazine looked like that as well...

Gee... what can I say...

It's been almost 20 years since I've opened my eyes to the beauty of this letter.

In graphic school, in typography lessons they learned us to open our eyes to the beauty of letters and typefaces. One of my favorites is the lower case g of the Garamond font/typeface. Beautifull roundings,

almost like the shape of a woman.

(I think the designer was a womanloving man...)

46-year-old Australian artist James Corbett, creates these sculptures using salvaged old car parts. Selling the buggers for thousands of dollars... Me says: start welding your old shit together and sell like hell...!

Cool wharf...

On our family trip to Denmark we stayed in a  holiday home close to the beach... On our day of arrival I captured the top pica... Two days later I went back to capture some more pica's with different angles... Only to find out that someone had done some work to the landing place... They added some wood to the structure, making it ready for the new boating season...

Ever since the start of the week, this day is on my mind... As every Friday evening, as the karate hour starts, the teacher will open the lesson with The Easybeats... "...Monday I have Friday on my mind..."
The funny thing: he can't sing ann he will be playing his air guitar...

Color your cool world...

So, since last Sunday spring is back in our country... Man, the waiting was way to long... Finally color is coming back into our nature and lifes again... Ok, spring... don't hold back, come on in...!!!

Doing some graphic freackin' around... Found the image somewhere on the webster, made the Total Anchor Motrocycles logo and added the maintenance stuff...

Cool empty highway...

In the Amsterdam area they're extending the roadmaps... This part of the A5 will be opened on December 15th... Before that I just had to catch images of the empty highway, by night...
The new tacmac still smelled like fresh tarmac, fresh paint on the road...
