Cool Rogues MC Choppershow 2012...

Pick-up my friend Pat around 11 to go the annual Rogues MC Choppershow (this weeks Sunday Special winner) in Hoogwoud, here in the Netherlands... The weather was great, a bit fresh with only 7 degrees Celsius... We saw some interresting sickles at the show... The Garage Maniacs got 18 bikes together for the booth... Some bikes at the show looked simple but if you looked closer...it was all in the details...

Found this pica surfing the net... A nice view in an old candy store... These are WLA's coming from Holland to Greece after the 2WW... After the allied forces left them after they liberated Europe, they packed all stuff at an old airfield (Deelden) to be sold and shipped...

Spotted this scene yesterday in a canal overhere in Amsterdam... I think the dude wanted to impress the girl on the left, such a shame he took his sister on the right for the ride as well... (A challange to keep the balance by the way... hahaha... That's why they sit so strange with squeezed butts)

Just imagine, walking through the woods in Belgium and you run into a couple of hundred of these beauties... You just couldn't stop taking pictures of them, could ya?
And just imagine the Belgian government is gonna give the owner of these goodies a fine of 250 Euro's for each of them if he doesn't clear the sites...

The over 70 year old owner cleared the sites last year April...
So sad...

Yesterday, my 5 year old son and I went for a little bicycle ride... We passed our local hidden treasure and we just had to stop and take another pica of her... Perfect one for a Sunday Special...

Yesterday, was the last day we could safely skate the ice on the channels in my old home town... So we did, it was 15 years ago we could that, we packed up the kids and rode the shoes with iron knifes under them...

Cool cold freezing weather...

Woke up Saturday after it had been snowing Friday... Locally we had bloody minus 12 degrees Celsius during the night... So frozen trees and beautifull counrty sights... The only thing I could do was getting my hands dirty again and catch some moments...
The bottom one I took Sunday on our way back home after some nice iceskating hours...

Yesterday, we went out with the family... We rode the same route I normally ride on The Young Geisha on my way to work... I've been missing this shoe for years it seems, looking at the moss...

Cool slippery and slidin' steering...

Yesterday morning OMW to work, slippery roads... Taking it very easy, I came to a T-crossing which looked like an icetrack...
Gently I operated the rear brake and by the touch of my foot, the rear wheel started to slide side ways... Like in the pica above I started sliding over the crossing...
Thank god there is an unpaved entrance to a recreation area parking, so I could come to a stop there...
I didn't yell or scream, I kept my cool...

(Un)Cool search...

For two days, the original keys to The Young Geisha had a little vacation... I couldn't find them and that drove me mad... Asking the kids if they had played with them... Turning over every dumpster, twice... Searching every room, bag jacket jeans I could lay my hands on...

Finally, checking the corner with jackets again, third time, laying on my tummy on the floor... From the corner of my eye I saw the buggers hanging between the bottles of wine laying there...

For you who don't know; Honda has a chip in their ignition keys which is checked every time you start the sickle, the H.I.S.S. Honda Ingnition Security System... Expensive to order a new key...!
Thank god I found the little buggers again...

Cool in-home wrenching...

Last Saturday, the kids and the wife fled the home and daddy could do his stuff in peace... Metallica and later The Living End coming from the stereo... This time Getting My Hands Dirty with the front brakes... Disassembly - cleaning - greasing them to Jerigo and back before the government starts salting the roads... We're able to stop again...

This morning  it was a fogging small world again... But entering the city of Amsterdam visability was fine... Maybe there was still a cloud hanging in front of the head of the driver of 'the whitevan men' van... When he decided to drive off the sidewalk, he didn't look to see if there was anyone else in his world...

Whilst surfing the net... Reading some strange story about emergency plastic pea-bags in public transport in the Netherlands here... I heared on the radio the trains have an annual problem with falling leaves on the tracks... Every bloody year the same problem...
If they can think of plastic piss-bags for trains without (!) toillets, they can think of tiny brooms for each passanger, to use when the leaves fall... Can't they..?
