Cool hidden fources...

Whilst some furniture shopping for our living room, behind some trucks and parts of ships, we ran into these hidden Renault 4's... In total there were 8 of them hanging around, waiting for more decay to happen...

Last Friday evening, coming back from my weekly ass-kicking @ Sportskarate, I ran into these two rainbows... What else could I do but hit the brakes of my sickle and catch these beauties...?

Cool sea of bikes...

It's not Home Depot or Office Depot but it is a bike depot... City of Amsterdam tows away bikes which are parked in wrong spots... If you can find any that is... At the train stations you'll find almost the same image as the one above...
I pass this depot every day... I see the sea growing and growing and after a couple of weeks..., suddenly they're all gone... Sold or dumped...?
So if you're looking for a bike in Amsterdam, go there and buy one for almost nothing...

The kids had a beach excursion last Sunday, learning about the animals - shells - plants in the dunes... We did a little stroll on the sand and  found the trash-dumpsters didn't float out to sea... Let's keep the beaches and seas clean...

Cool group of heroes...

The jumped out of airplanes over Normandy on D-Day, fought for 30+ days in a row... The jumped in over the Netherlands in Operation Market Garden and fought for 70+ days in a row, without a shower and a warm meal... Two weeks later they've been shipped out of France to the Bastogne region. Sat there in foxholes in the ground for a month and a half with snow and -20 degrees celsius...
The made their way through France to Hitler's Eagles nest...

Some of them are still alive...!!!

Cool, cool heroes...!!!

Over here in the Netherlands this Friday we'll have 'Remembrance day' and on Saturday we celebrate our national 'Liberation day'... Friday we remember all the people that fought for our freedom during the second world war (and all the people that suffered from acts of war)... At 8 pm the whole nation will be silent for two minutes (where ever we go, we will stand still) and the day after, music festivals are widely spread... Celebrating our freedom!

Thank you all for fighting for our freedom!

Cool Black and Beautiful...

Yesterday ended up at the garage with the family car... Something wrong with the steering/wheel/drive axle...
"Sir, I'll have to keep the car here. It's not save to drive this car..." Ok, I was just coming by to tell them the car felt wobbely when accellerating and taking the foot of the throttle... It was due to her MOT next week and had appointment already, was just telling them to check that as well...
Why don't you ride around the back and we'll check it right away... Yeah, why not... I'm glad I did will not imagine sitting in the car with family and the wheel desiding her own direction to go...

Maybe whilst the car is in teh garage, maybe I can use my brotherinlaw's new toy... A 1967 V8 Ford Mustang called Black Bess... Well...
It's a petty it's standing on the other side of the world in The Land of Oz... My compliments to my sis and bil for their good taste in fine cars...!

Pick-up my friend Pat around 11 to go the annual Rogues MC Choppershow (this weeks Sunday Special winner) in Hoogwoud, here in the Netherlands... The weather was great, a bit fresh with only 7 degrees Celsius... We saw some interresting sickles at the show... The Garage Maniacs got 18 bikes together for the booth... Some bikes at the show looked simple but if you looked closer...it was all in the details...

Found this pica surfing the net... A nice view in an old candy store... These are WLA's coming from Holland to Greece after the 2WW... After the allied forces left them after they liberated Europe, they packed all stuff at an old airfield (Deelden) to be sold and shipped...

Spotted this scene yesterday in a canal overhere in Amsterdam... I think the dude wanted to impress the girl on the left, such a shame he took his sister on the right for the ride as well... (A challange to keep the balance by the way... hahaha... That's why they sit so strange with squeezed butts)

Just imagine, walking through the woods in Belgium and you run into a couple of hundred of these beauties... You just couldn't stop taking pictures of them, could ya?
And just imagine the Belgian government is gonna give the owner of these goodies a fine of 250 Euro's for each of them if he doesn't clear the sites...

The over 70 year old owner cleared the sites last year April...
So sad...

Yesterday, my 5 year old son and I went for a little bicycle ride... We passed our local hidden treasure and we just had to stop and take another pica of her... Perfect one for a Sunday Special...

Woke up Saturday after it had been snowing Friday... Locally we had bloody minus 12 degrees Celsius during the night... So frozen trees and beautifull counrty sights... The only thing I could do was getting my hands dirty again and catch some moments...

Yesterday, we went out with the family... We rode the same route I normally ride on The Young Geisha on my way to work... I've been missing this shoe for years it seems, looking at the moss...

Last night I went out and did some experimenting on night photography... Storage of an old sugar factory has been transfered to office buildings... Don't they look cool at night...?

This weekend we picked up the new commuting means for my wife... This great looking little bugger (yeah, it's a slim fit...) runs way cheaper than the big family car... If my calculations are correct this Picanto is annually 1,500 Euro's cheaper in consuming petrol...
