Cool new toy...

I bought my self a new toy yesterday, a 120 GB iPod... So that needs some figuring out and fuckin' around with it to get to know the damn thing... Great for commuting and also the family travelling (in the car) later this year...

Cool village passing... failed!

Last weekend in Germany, after a days riding, we tried to do a cool village passing way back to the campsite. Loads of people on the main street... Bas saw a couple of young girls in uniform and did something we still don't know what. His front break blocked and his bike ended up on the tarmac. Not only the bike got damaged but also his ego.
Later that evening we went to a local party and all the people there were the people from mainstreet... ooops... "Aren't you the guys from earlier today...?"

(Thank God Bas wasn't harmed after this painfull fall, thanx to his judo history...)

Respect to David Carradine...

Yesterday evening on the news, I found out that David Carradine died at 72 in a hotel room in Bangkok... The actor that played the monk in the series Kung Fu and who played '5 steps' Bill in Kill Bill.
Respect to this guy for some great acting!

Cool heroes...

This month it's 65 years ago we had situations like this, when the rest of the world came to liberate Europe from Nazi Germany. Thanx to everyone who helped out to get rid of the crazy Jerries!

Maintenance time again...

It's is time to get my hands dirty with grease and oil again... Last riding weekend I found out some parts of my sickle need TLC (Tender love & Care)... Suspension needs attatention, still bottoming out. The speedo cable broke on the way home, minor detail... The transmission is loosing more oil every day, mmm... prob the main axle bearing behind the primairy... The rearbrake lost oil on my back wheel, needs some attention as well! Anyway, time to play again!

(The only think I need to find is: the time to do it. Pic source: theworldwideweb)

Cool scooting weekend...

Finally after 3 other campsites we found one with room for four tents and 5 bikes. Near a small village called Dendeborn in Nationalpark Eifel in Germany. We had a very good riding weekend, only sun and no rain.

Cool findings...

Here is cool add I found on the world wide web. We have two options here; or the guy is letting his sister ride up front or he is gay... He has his hands way to low, as anyone can see the wind is making them cold so he should keep his hands on them to keep them warm... sucker !!

Cool mammy...

Thisone is taken over 5 years ago. My wife was already pregnant (without both of us knowing!!) with our daughter. With her work she had a 300 km tour through The Netherlands on motorcycles. She wanted to ride our Cinderella, the one with the heavy working clutch... That's why she looks exhausted...

(Cool job mammy!!)

Cool cleaning session...

Sunday we had a family cleaning session of my sickle... My 5 year old daughter and 2.5 year old son had to help me cleaning the bike. The three of us had a sponge and washed all the dust from it. Later after she had dryed in the sun I gave her some good rubbing and polishing... (after three years... oops!)

(The three of us had a good time and even got a sun teint...)

Cool chopper

Here is my friend Sik's cool chopper. On the B-movie/mexican booth he made for the Rogues Chopper Show this year. The booth was filled with various other cool bikes and an Airstreamer caravan.

Cool convertable...

We ran into this beauty when we were in France some time back. It's called a Duex chaveau, two horses... But it's a nice little convertable with no luxary at all !! Like the shapes of the design!

(I owned one of these in... apple green, drove it for 10 miles and took it totally apart ...)

Parisian trend...

Here is one of cool (?) trend from Paris, if you're into three wheelers, can't find the (side) stand of the motorcycle, have the urge to fall over at traffic lights... They ride it like normal bikes... like the devil is on their tail, like manicas...
They also have the trend to ride around with dust/rain covers (skirts... and no, they are not from Scotland...) over their leggs, so un-cool ! Sillybillies!

Cool pica

Here is a cool pica I took on a mountain hike in Swiss in 2006. A very nice trail right on the edge and some stages even only on wooden boards appr. 40 cm wide with a load of nothing under it. Vew hundred meters down, ground... not a place for someone who's afraid of hights ha ha ha...

(We made it back in one piece even it started raining cats and dogs, pissing down!...)

And we're back again...!

So we had our little 5 day tour to Paris, the city of love...

On, I think, every railway station or busy point in the city... nower days ya have motorcycle taxies. All the motorcyclists around Paris rie like the devil is on their tail, like manics. Can I squeeze my bike and my self with 80 km's an hour through rush hour through the traffic jams...? Uuuh, I would almost shit my pants... So the Mrs said: Shall we take a taxi to the Institute Arab Monde...? Yeah, right... I wanna see the kids again, I replied... Call me a sissy but hell these guys are crazy!!
