Cool yellows...

Last Saturday bought myself some new and warm winter gloves at the motorcycle store... Also a "bankrobber's" hood with coldblocker (look really silly when I wear that!!) and... a bright yellow high visibility vest with reflective sections across it...

This morning I found out that some Spanish prostitutes have to wear them as well... Don't think this colour turns anyone on...! Hope they won't mistake me for one of them as I race to work and home here in Amsterdam, The Netherlands...

Cool and abandonded too...

Sunday after a family visit, with our bicycles, we walked out a little pedestrians tunnel connecting our village with an other... We ran into this little beauty... We have passed this point so often but this was the first time we saw her standing there... Will return soon to make some more picas of her...

They're mowing the grass around her... Licence plate is gone... Locked with a chain to the lighting pole to prevent theft but the never came back to take her home...
She's been standing there since the sail in for Sail Amsterdam 2010 > that's August 19th 2010... I pass her every day on my way to work and home... Took out the cell phone this morning and shot her...

Back in the early eighties or late seventies, my youngest sister cam home with Easyriders magazine... That time the first Lowride Sturgis came out, it was love at first sight... Ever since that day, I was about 9 or 10 years old, I knew one day I would ride my own Harley...
Fourteen years later, I did...

David Mann's art was one the most impressing things I saw in Easyriders magazine, just love that man(n)'s artwork... The pica above was in that time in the mags... I was blown away by this pica... Thank you mister Mann, respect...!!

Cool printer/scanner test...

After months we finally have a new printer/scanner/copier... Here's a little scanner test with an old pica of my dad back in de fifties... Posing next to his younger brother's truck somewhere in Germany I believe... The original pica is about 3.5 cm wide... Turned out pretty good...

This weekend I will be getting my hands dirty on work and prep work of building an extra shead in the back garden... First extend the current shead and then build an additional one next to it... Maybe then I will be able to store all the shit we have hanging around...

Two bloody hours...

For once I took the car to get to work... I parked along the main street, just outside next to the bakery... In the two hours I was parked there some fuckwith tried to park his car in fron of mine heading into the parking space headfirst...
It can't be that he/she didn't notice they hit our car... This 2004 Renault Espace is equiped with headlight washers... That's where you see that hole now... that's where the washing equipment should be (that pop out of the bumper...) they just took it completely off... Paint damage on the fender and front bumper parts...

Did they leave a note... HELL NO...!! Did the people in the bakery notice anything... HELL NO...!!

So internet reported the damage with the police and insurrance... About 800-1000 Euro's damage... Parked there for just two bloody hours... Give me just one good reason not to kick you teeth in when I catch you you fuckwith...!!!

The weather outside here in The Netherlands today is like fall... Windy Wendy, rain and about 16 degrees Celsius... This pica I took in France @ Free Wheels in August, about 28 degrees... Much better...!

Cool streets of motorcycles...

Here is one of the main streets going in and out of Courpiere, the village where Free Wheels was this August in France... One side of the street totally packed with motorsickles... The whole village was packed with two wheeled wonders, veeerrrrryy nice! From very cool rat style mopets till very spency Jessy James/OCC style bikes... Outside temp: about 29 degrees Celsius...

Thisone I took in the center of Courpiere... The cool old shovel was parked next to a 30 thousant Euros costing OCC style chopper... Liked thisone way more... Nice wheel (new Roadking, right?)...

Cool boating...

Today is Sail Amsterdam 2010, for people who don't know what that is... It's a huge boating fest in Amsterdam with a 'sail-in' parade of tallships... Above is the 'Stad Amsterdam'...

The daily route I ride to work,... you guessed it, is (along) the same route as the ships and million of small boats sail today...

They come from allover the world; Oman, Russia, Italy and so on and so on... Millions of spectators are looking for places to park their cars and take their folding chairs to sit along the canal...

I knew the road next to the canal (above) would be oneway and be block on my way home... I didn't know they would try to block me going to work... They thought I would take a detour because of a couple of boats sailing from 10 AM...? Think again...

Just took my normal route, passed some traffic attendents pointing me the other way, and ended up at my work the normal time... The Young Geisha comes in handy again...!!

Cool Rusty 5...

On our way back to the campsite in France, we passed a small field with some old rusty vehicles... I stoppped to take a vew picas...
There was a sign up saying private property and the owner is living on the other side of the road... No place to sneak into the field to make more picas...
A couple of days later I went back and asked the owner for permission... Here is one of the (more then 100!!) picas I made that day...

The paint was totally gone on this Renault 5, completelly rusted...

Cool Free Wheels 2010...

About a hundred kilometers from our holiday campsite was the village of Courpiere...
Indead, where the Free Wheels bike and car show/festival was held... My family and I had an optique overthere and wanted to walk from the Free Wheels campsite to the village... We were stopped by the Frensh guy in the red shirt, a member of the White Troopers mc... I acted stupid (easy role for me) as if I didn't understand him and almost pissed him off... " No, to dangerous...!" he said... I replied: "No, we just want walk to the village" Him more crumpy then before: "No!... To dangerous..!!" Me: "Ok, merci..."...
Ooops... didn't want to get my ass kicked in front of the kids...
We tooks some picas and returned to the car, took a loop around and ended up almost in the center of the village by car (!)... Took a load more picas, had a drink and scooted off again... Next time: going without the kids...

During our summer holiday in France, we ran into quite some car wrecks... They just leave them where the are or you'll find them at old garages in villages... Especially the Citroen 2CV's had my interrest 'cause I like the curved lines on them... Specially the older ones are beautiful... The blister (from snapping my camera) on my right pointing finger is just starting to heal...
