This morning, commuting to work on my Young Geisha, it was just another rainy morning... Halfway to Amsterdam I felt a nasty cold and wet sensation creeping up my legg... My waterproff and protective gear suddenly wasn't that waterproof anymore... The cold water creeped trough a seem in the pants to the inside, where my jeans were... Making it's way trough the denim fabric working it's way towards my undies...
Yesterday for my work I had to go and work on location at a customer... To my surprise the location was next to an old WW2 camp... This camp was used to ship prisoners from to other concentration camps like Auswitz etc. The old camp is now an adjucation site, place of rememberance... I had to make this pica... Later that day I went back with my cam and also went to the Russian war graves around the corner...
So we won't forget...!
At the Harley dealer I visited last Saturday, they had a cool Sportster Fourtyeight with some nice goldflake flames on the tank... Nice scooter for the misses me thinks...

Today, May 2nd in 1945, 66 years ago, Berlin surrendered to the Russians... Here the Russian flag is planted on top of the Reichstag... End of the second world war, 3 days later The Netherlands was liberated, thanx to the American, Australian, Canadian, New Zealand's, Polish, Maroccan, Scottisch liberators... I'm sure I missed loads of nations that helped...

Last Sunday my mate Elmo and me took the scooters for a ride and ended up at the American Sunday @ Zandvoort racing circuit, Zandvoort The Netherlands... Loads of cars, bikes, drag racing and other cool stuff...
Using my old school little oil pump (comes from my late father's garage) to lubicate the new speedo cable, the old one broke two years ago...!!! 
Here we are new cable in place, no - did not loose the ring nut of the cable attaching the cable to the speedo..., cloth to prevent loosing the little moonshape rings underneath the speedo... Re-instal the dash, oil in the cyclinders, turn the engine over a couple of times, re-instal the spark pluggs and fire her up... Oooh yes, she loved it...

This weekend, the mrs and me, stayed in Bergen aan Zee, The Netherlands... Just a long weekend quality time together... We found out that in the village 4 km's down the road used to be a WW2 German Luftwaffe airfield... It seemed that the whole area was bombed to yingyang and back during WW2. We also found out that the airmen who lost their lives, getting shot down in that area, where buried in that village... So that Saturday we went to pay our respects to these guys... Ages: 20 - 22 - 26 not older then 30... Nationalities: Canadian, American, Polish, New Zealanders and Australian... In total about 250 airmen are burried there... I still thinks it's remarkable that a 22 year old kiwi wants to fight on the other side of the world to liberate people... Thank you guys...
Had a strange electric problem... Tail light didn't work anymore... Checked the fuses, ok... New bulb (take off the seat and do your best to get to it...) Normal light works, brake light didn't... Mmmm...
Today Sunday, great weather outside, wife and kids gone... Did some work on the shead again... All to make it able for the Old Gall to come home... She's been sleepin' over for to long now...

Loads of sickles and loads of people... Seemed family of mine was running around as well... Sister, B.I.L. and niece looking for bikes... Sounds good to me... Let's ride...!!!
